# Tod The Dot

> One tiny dot, alone in an empty space — until curiosity turns nothing into a whole world. Tod is just a dot: curious, easily delighted, just as easily spooked. Two dots join and become a line; then a sharp-tempered Triangle, a grumpy old Square and a loud, rolling Circle show him their corners and curves. Tod never becomes another shape — he meets them, plays with them, and discovers that together they can invent a whole world of new ones. A hand-painted watercolor picture book about shapes for ages 3–6.

## A dot discovers the world of shapes.

One tiny dot, alone in an empty space — until curiosity turns nothing into a whole world.

OUR HERO

### Curious and Innocent. He is just a dot.

Tod is a dot, and that is the whole of him — curious, easily delighted, just as easily spooked, and quietly bothered by how much nothing surrounds him.

He never becomes another shape. He meets them, plays with them, and discovers that together they can invent a whole world of new ones.

Look, a Squarangle!

THE ART

### Paper, water, pigment. Nothing else.

Every shape was painted on paper, one wash at a time — taped down, dried, cut out, arranged by hand. The uneven edges and the pigment that blooms are the point, not a defect.

Storyboarded in marker on a kitchen table before a single page was painted. No AI wrote it, drew it, or colored it.

### Tod is alone in the void

Tod's friends

**The Line** — Free spirit. Spontaneous. Goes wherever she likes. “I’m the Line, the union of two dots.”

**The Triangle** — Sharp-tempered, rude, three points of attitude. “Ugh, leave me alone, you annoying little dot!”

**The Square** — Grumpy, tired, and far too old for this. “I’m too old to be carrying this triangle.”

**The Circle** — Chaotic, loud, and certain he is the best. “Woo-hoo! Let’s roll around!”

### About the authors
